Introduction
I recently completed an industrial distributor website development project for CV Bayu Adhi. The company serves as an authorized distributor of UPS systems, industrial batteries, inverters, rectifiers, and networking equipment across Eastern Indonesia. As the lead WordPress developer, I took full responsibility for building their corporate web presence. My primary focus was creating a scalable, high-performance platform that presents complex electrical product catalogs clearly to institutional and commercial clients.
Project Overview
CV Bayu Adhi needed a modern corporate platform to showcase their extensive range of power and industrial solutions. Their previous presentation methods made it challenging for B2B buyers to explore product specifications quickly. Therefore, I was tasked with building a dynamic web solution from the ground up. I designed the platform to establish corporate trust, organize technical product lines, and drive direct sales inquiries from regional industries.
My Role
As the sole WordPress developer on this project, I managed the entire development process from structural architecture to final launch. I collaborated with stakeholders to organize complex product categories into intuitive visual layouts. Using Elementor alongside Crocoblock dynamic plugins, I built flexible product listing templates. Additionally, I wrote custom CSS to refine visual details and ensure a clean presentation across all devices.
Design & Development Process
My development workflow prioritized performance, clean site architecture, and user convenience.
First, I established the core WordPress environment and mapped out the product catalog structure. To manage multi-category equipment efficiently, I implemented Crocoblock JetEngine to create Custom Post Types, taxonomies, and dynamic listing grids.
Second, I built the visual layout using Elementor. Standard widgets were insufficient for detailed technical specifications. To address this, I wrote modular custom CSS rules for product cards, filter sections, and interactive quote buttons.
Third, I focused on responsive behavior. B2B buyers often access sites on tablets or smartphones in the field. I adjusted responsive breakpoints to guarantee fast loading speeds and effortless navigation on all screen sizes. Finally, I tested catalog filtering performance before final deployment.
Key Features
- Dynamic Product Catalog: I built flexible listing grids using Crocoblock to display power equipment and specifications cleanly.
- Custom Filtering System: I configured intuitive filter controls so visitors can sort products by category and technical type.
- Mobile-First Responsive Layouts: I ensured all pages adapt smoothly across smart devices, tablets, and desktop displays.
- Tailored UI Components: I authored custom CSS to polish product cards, hover states, and inquiry buttons.
- B2B Inquiry Channels: I integrated direct call-to-action buttons to convert visiting buyers into corporate leads.
- Easy Content Management: I structured custom post types so internal staff can add new inventory without breaking layouts.
Challenges
Executing an industrial distributor website development project for a multi-brand distributor presents unique content organization hurdles. Displaying dozens of technical power products with distinct specification tables without cluttering the user interface was a major challenge.
I solved this by designing dynamic listing templates using Crocoblock JetEngine combined with custom CSS flexbox rules. This setup allowed technical specs to collapse cleanly on smaller viewports. As a result, product details remain readable on mobile screens while maintaining a structured grid on desktop monitors.
