Introduction
I recently completed an industrial website development project for Karunia Baja Perkasa karuniabajaperkasa.co.id, a company operating in the heavy industrial and manufacturing sector. As the lead WordPress developer for this project, I took full responsibility for turning their corporate identity into an interactive web platform. The primary goal was to establish a robust online presence that effectively highlights their manufacturing capabilities and product catalog.
Project Overview
Karunia Baja Perkasa required a modern, professional corporate website to represent their operations in the industrial steel and manufacturing industry. Their previous web presence did not fully capture the scale of their business or present their product range effectively. Therefore, I was tasked with building a tailored digital platform from the ground up. I designed this web solution to build client trust, present technical product specifications clearly, and generate corporate inquiries efficiently.
My Role
As the WordPress developer on this project, I managed the entire development lifecycle from technical planning to final deployment. My responsibility was to architect a site structure that catered specifically to business-to-business audiences. I translated complex industrial offerings into clear visual layouts using Elementor, while writing custom CSS to achieve precise design requirements that standard builders could not deliver out of the box. Additionally, I optimized the user journey to ensure potential clients could easily request quotes and access technical documentation.
Design & Development Process
I structured the project into several methodical phases to maintain high technical standards throughout.
First, I established the technical foundation by setting up a flexible WordPress environment. During the layout phase, I utilized Elementor to build custom page structures tailored to the industrial manufacturing visual identity. Standard design widgets were insufficient for their specialized product specifications, so I wrote custom CSS rules to refine spacing, layout alignment, typography, and interactive button states.
Next, I focused heavily on mobile responsiveness. Because corporate stakeholders access sites on various screen sizes, I manually tested and adapted every section for desktop, tablet, and mobile displays. Furthermore, I integrated speed optimization routines by streamlining code output, leveraging clean stylesheet practices, and reducing unnecessary scripts. Finally, I tested cross-browser compatibility before executing the site deployment.
Key Features
- Responsive Layout: I built a fully fluid design that adapts seamlessly across all mobile, tablet, and desktop viewports.
- Custom Product Displays: I created structured catalog pages designed to highlight detailed industrial specifications clearly.
- Tailored UI Elements: I implemented custom CSS styling to enhance visual hierarchy and maintain strict brand identity.
- Interactive Contact Systems: I integrated targeted call-to-action sections and contact channels to increase business leads.
- Fast Loading Performance: I optimized the overall asset footprint to maintain swift page load speeds.
- Clean Code Base: I maintained a clean code architecture for easy future scalability and maintenance.
Challenges
Building an industrial website development project for a manufacturing firm introduces unique layout challenges. One major difficulty was displaying complex technical product tables cleanly on small mobile screens without sacrificing readability or causing layout breaking.
I solved this by writing custom CSS wrapper classes that enabled responsive horizontal scrolling for dense data tables on mobile devices, while maintaining a spacious grid layout on desktops. Additionally, I optimized heavy media assets across the custom sections, ensuring that visual appeal did not compromise load performance.
Technologies Used
- WordPress: Core content management platform used for site structure.
- Elementor: Primary page builder employed for visual design and structural layout.
- Custom CSS: Written to refine styles, adjust responsiveness, and customize interface details.
- HTML5 & PHP: Used for structural tweaks and underlying WordPress theme optimization.
Project Outcome
The completed website provides Karunia Baja Perkasa with a distinct, authoritative digital presence in the industrial sector. Through my targeted development work, the new platform delivers an intuitive user experience and presenting their manufacturing capabilities clearly to prospective corporate clients. The custom CSS enhancements ensured a polished visual execution, while the lightweight setup made site administration effortless for their internal team.
